What is Comprehensive Cancer Control?

Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) addresses the spectrum of cancer care from prevention to early detection, treatment, survivorship and end-of-life issues. This approach can lead to achievements in cancer control that may not have been possible with individual efforts alone. Many experts are involved, including doctors, public health personnel, nonprofit organizations, cancer survivors, government agencies, colleges and universities, and advocates. CCC encourages partnerships among traditional and nontraditional organizations, allowing them to pool resources, share expertise and gain new insights into better ways to address cancer in New Mexico.
