What if I need treatment?

If you are diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer or a precancerous condition through the BCC Program, you can apply for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Medicaid coverage (Category 052) through the BCC Program office. If you meet this category’s requirements you will have access to full Medicaid services, which include the cost of cancer treatment.

For more information, you can call the BCC Case Manager at (505) 841-5896 or you may speak with the clinic that helped diagnose you to find out if there is financial assistance available for treatment.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Program Breast Cancer Awareness Plate

The Breast Cancer Awareness plate is available to any motor vehicle owner. Of the $37 fee collected, $25 goes to the NM Department of Health to help fund breast cancer screening, outreach and education. This fee is assessed each year with license renewal. Click to apply for this plate.
