What services are covered?
The BCC regular screening exam is a yearly checkup that includes screening for breast and cervical cancer.
Services paid for by the BCC Program USUALLY include:
- Clinical Breast Exam (CBE)
- Pelvic Exam
- Pap Test
- Mammogram
- Some additional diagnostic breast and cervical tests IF NEEDED, such as ultrasound, biopsy, colposcopy, etc.
- For more information on how often to receive BCC screening services, please check with your healthcare provider.
The BCC Program is a rescreening program as well. As long as you continue to be eligible for the BCC Program, you can get a regular screening exam every year at no cost!
Mammograms make it possible to find breast cancer at an early stage.
Pap tests make it possible to find precancerous (dysplasia) and cervical cancer at an early stage.
*NOTE: If your physician orders other tests that are not covered through the BCC Program, you may be responsible for paying for these services.
